Pat & Randy New Year's Eve Key West, FL 2009 January 2007....actually our journey began in 1976 when we first met! We were  young, restless and started planning our move aboard "White Cap" ( 33' ketch) and heading south to the Carribean. By 1980 we had sold everything & refit the boat when "Hello Zachary"  (our son arrives). After much soul searching (stay the course (parents nearly croaked on that one), abandon the plan, wait till he's older etc. etc.) the plan was scrubbed and we stayed in York. Here it is 27 years later! It's been a great ride and we wouldn't change a thing! Now it's time to go sailing (this time in comfort). Funny how things work out!  Pat and Randy Routson.  Homeward Bound is currently berthed at Isle of Palms, SC January 2008 Pat is retiring from a 30 year Nursing carreer. Randy retires from a 30 year career in sales. We have two great, twenty something, kids ( Zach & Emily) who are off on their own and we're heading South before the grandchildren start arriving!! The house has been sold and we continue to downsize. We will move aboard in mid/late July and depart on September 1st.  This website is being developed so we can share our experiences and communicate with friends and family from afar. We will post updates to the LOG page as well as pictures taken along the way. We hope you'll stop by from time to time to see where we are, how we're doing and drop us line from home..............Enjoy!
